For years, I’ve gone through thousands of these sanding drums in my work. Unfortunately, the options have become increasingly disappointing.
Bulk quantities of this particular size and grit are already difficult to find, and the few suppliers offering them have experienced a noticeable decline in quality. Thin abrasive material, inconsistent construction, and drums that wear out far too quickly have made finding a dependable bulk supply incredibly frustrating.
Purchasing small quantities from local hardware stores isn’t much better. Not only are these sanding drums typically sold in very limited quantities at a significantly higher cost per piece, but I’ve also noticed a decline in the quality and durability of those name-brand options.
The problem wasn’t simply finding sanding drums. It was finding this exact size and grit, in meaningful quantities, with quality that actually holds up.
